Kaiser's Birthday- or at least it looks like it!

Look at Kaiser's bounty!! He has a new shirt, a fleece blanket and a striped blanket! I got the itch to sew today. I started out taking old striped curtains, put the 2 sides together with batting in between to make a recycled blankie just big enough for a small doggie.

Here is a side view of Kaiser from my fall line. The jacket is leftover grey fleece scraps. Notice the zig zag detailing on the hems and arm hole. I did all this without a tape measure, and iron, or pattern. I just hope he doesn't pee on it.

Here is a detail shot of the blankets. I sewed in baffles in the stripe blanket for a classic look. The olive colored fleece blanket is composed of 3 long rectangular strips sewed together with the slavage on the seams clipped to a decorative fringe pattern. Kaiser is especially "fetching" with his new ensemble and the incognito bone in the shot.
